I almost never make this play but V1 was playing aggressive the last couple of orbits from what I saw (stats were 33/19, 10% 3-bet, 100% c-bet, 33% fold to c-bet, 50% fold to 3-bet, tiny sample of just 42 hands, so more based on table flow). I figured I was short enough that a call created a very small SPR so I could easily shove any flop and might get a c-bet where I might not get a call preflop. It all went perfectly except for the BB call. Since I don’t know what V1 had I don’t know if he would have just called a PF shove.

Did I over-think this situation? I feel like I did or I wouldn’t be positing, still. I’m, I can’t help but think a PF shove wouldn’t have taken down a pot that would have only bumped me to ~14BB

Should I be shoving 100%?

Maybe min-raise just to discourage the BB? It would look fishy or nutty, but anything more probably just looks nutty. Either way V1 would probably have come along but maybe not c-bet as often since I’d have taken the betting lead.

I’m not sure it matters all that much, but according to PT4’s equity calculator I had ~72% equity preflop against V2’s hand and “random” for V1. On the flop I still had ~20%.

just gii pre. you have 10BB so you will most likely get called by MP.

vs a thinking opponent this flat loos so nutted.

Ask yourself would you ever flat a different hand here?

Low stakes MTTs are easiest to win by playing straightforward and reducing the amount of mistakes or fancy plays.

just shove pre flop, most V will call 10bb shove when they open raise.

Shoving pre looks a lot weaker when you got these 10 bigs. BB has a decent stack and is getting great price to call minraise but will only call shove with a ‘good’ hand which you of course still have crushed. I’m happy to shove pre and get it all in against raiser or raiser & BB.

Like the other poster said, if he has anything remotely decent he will call your 10BB shove.

Thanks for confirming….sigh. At least it was drilled in good so i won’t do it next time.

Sorry about the typos in my OP. The site wouldn’t let me edit. I guess it times-out.
