Villian was running about 17/7, I flatted in hopes BB would ship, and if not give a chance for the UTG+1 to bluff off more of his stack. Should I have just 3-bet pre? And as played, how was my line? And on river, what's the best play? His raise on turn is kind of confusing after he check back the flop.

I don't mind a flat with AA here since a 3b vs a 17/7 from EP looks pretty strong and makes it easier for opponent to play against you – you pretty much turn you hand face up, or at least to QQ+,AK. Strong hands that might check back this flop and minraise the turn is something like KK,QQ,66,77,KQ,76 I guess. Maybe AK too, but not sure he minbets your turn lead with anything worse. On the river you beat only two of these hands, which is KQ and AK since our two pair is now better. If you bet on the river and he raises, you might fold the best hand since he could have KQ. By checking you let him bluff any kind of missed draw like JT or maybe 89 too. However, I would expect him to turn up with a hand that beats us the majority of the time here.
Cc pf is fine, not likely to be getting out of line here pf vs a 3-bet so its a good spot to cc/slowplay if your image is too good to 3-bet, bb shoving posibility is a bonus. Complete air cbets this flop 99.9%. Looks really wierd, perhaps slowplayed kk, or a 66 that decided to play for showdown value on the flop (if he is good you should rule that out( btw 76 shouldnt be in his range but makes sense, i think 77 and qq, ak and kq bet this flop, so perhaps we can rule that out) this looks like value, he is never valuebetting worse i think because worse on the river doesnt check back flop, so aa is bluffcatching on a hand that didnt want you to fold flop. If you haven’t seen villian get out of line too much it’s an okey fold. Its a hard one tho, and im not sure i could do it.

i really just like 3betting pre here, given we are out of position.
because we are OOP, it is going to be hard to know where we are in the hand – we want to play a big pot, but becasue we are OOP we dont really get to control the size of the pot

Seems to me that you didnt fully have a plan for this hand or you were planning on c/r the flop and his check back spoiled that. His min raise of your donk lead on turn is either super strong or just testing your lead out as he checked flop. Think he has KK, QQ, 66, AK, KQ or air poss JT. All that said, your hand is so massively under repped that I think you have to call the river bet as the board hasn't changed.

Flatting preflop to induce BB to jam in this spot
Is just rarely working with the action pre.
If original raiser was on the HJ,CO, or button AND
We think BB is competent enough to ship a lighter
Range….then maybe a flat preflop is ok.
As played, original raiser obv has a tighter range that
We should give him a chance to overplay preflop
By 3 betting.
That being said, his minraise on the turn was odd.
I think flatting turn is fine. Did you check river for
value? Or to “see what he would do”?
If for value, then check-call all day.
If you are unsure, throw out a smaller bet
For the reasons of blocking/value. (Bigdog style)
If he raises your river lead, which he will rarely do
Without a full house, we can fold and save some chips.
Final answer: 3bet pre to induce. As played, have
A plan before you check that river card that
should have been a good card for us

Exactly right. IMO there is no need to flat pre in this spot. If this guy is running 17/7, you can be pretty sure he will be giving you further action to a 3bet. it is somewhat true that it gives away the strenght of our hand, bu we are OOP, so I would be looking to get all my money in pre, if possible. I think I make it 4700 to go pre, if he 4bets its all in for him and if he flats, any cbet will basically commit him.
Whats his Agg? Whats his Flop Cbet %? That is useful information for you to plan your hand before you even decide what to do pre.
