Hey guys! Hope you're all well. First post here. This isn't a specific HH hand that I played, so I hope I am not posting in the wrong forum!

I wanted to get your opinion about a potential leak I've noticed in my game: I've been shoving Ace-x with 8-13 BBs (with antes in play ofcourse) from MP2-MP3. Often times, I'll elect to shove rather than raise because at my stakes (low), many of the players are way too loose. I feel like this puts me in a compromising positions where I'll only be called with A-10+, potentially making these Ax shoves negative ev.

So my question is, how do you guys elect to play Ax in MP2-MP3 with 8-13 BBs vs looser players? Cheers!

Here's a classic chart should help you with your push fold ranges.  Keep in mind at the bottom there is antes as %.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AiRCAFDKL6fIdHE0QWt5elZMUkU4YzVrSlBVZk5EMFE&usp=drive_web#gid=3

Hope this will help you out! : )

The only thing I would add to keep in mind is this chart assumes your opponents are playing perfectly.  Reading the FAQ will help a great amount.

The charts are definitely a helpful start point. I tend to push a bit wider if I know that the players behind me are not decent regulars as from my experience people call way too tight, especially from the blinds.

The charts are a good guide when playing against regs who will more likely call correctly so I wouldn't stray too much in those instances.

Charts are useful, but once you know them well, use them to start estimating your opponents' exact ranges, and do precise calculcations with a program like ICMIZER. That'll give you a better handle on how to adapt your ranges in different spots.

It's also really, really important to make the distinction between different Ax hands. You can't necessarily lump them all into the same category. There are plenty of spots where A9s is a very profitable shove and A2o is a very unprofitable one. Similarly, the fact that you're getting called by a lot of AT+ hands doesn't make all these shoves -EV. What's most likely is that some of them are very -EV, some are slightly -EV, some are breakeven, some are slightly +EV, and some are very +EV. Making a simple distinction between -EV and +EV ignores the reality that the two concepts exist on a sliding scale, and a +EV shove that makes you +0.1bb in the long term is not the same as a +EV shove that makes you 1bb.
