Heres a few questionable hands i ran into late in the 45 man turbos on UB today. Wanna chalk it up to running bad but would also like some suggestions on different lines i could've possibly taken.

The first hand here was a heartbreaker for me. 10 players left…6 paid but I feel VERY confident going into the FT with 9k+ chips(chip lead) and would rather not have to get it in vs. another bigstack here. The SB has been playing very loose-passively and has let me steal a few pots from him postflop. Really regret getting it all in here.

SB checks, Hero bets t1610.00, SB calls t1610

Turn: (t6030) 3 of hearts (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t7106.00, SB calls t5999 all in

River: (t18028) Q of clubs (2 players – 1 is all in)

Final Pot: t18028
Hero shows K of spades K of hearts
SB shows Q of hearts A of hearts
SB wins t18178.00
(Rake: t-200)

This one is a different 45man…FT this time. Def not a standard shove for me here with A2 (folding a lot…never calling) but this guy has been limp folding a lot. Then he finally called a shove right before this with QT offsuit…so i figured any Ace would be a good shove here.

I have been grinding a lot of 45mans on full tilt to help build my roll, and the one thing i have learned through the process is survival early, doubling up when you can, then shifting to icm mode late picking spots carefully to capture top 3s.  The first thing in the 45 mans on Tilt is that unlike Stars or in standard mtts, there is real no incentive imo in stealing blinds.  There are no antes in these so I don't think there is much incentive to steal.  I really don't panic in these until i get down to about 5bb

Now in regards to your hands…you have to ask yourself what you beat when you essentially pot it on the turn.  The Villain is never calling with worse.  With him c/c the flop the flush draw is definitely there.  I know hindsight is always 20/20, but with your stack i probably check behind on turn and evaluate river.

The 2nd hand, I just wouldn't advocate jamming over any fish with a/2o..i mean you did get it in ahead and your read was right, but in most times you are going to be behind a lot.  The advantage of playing those is learing as you go.  You don't want to be result oriented after making the play you think at the time is the “A” play, but we always want to be learning hopefully not making the same mistake again.

Just ask yourself before you make any decision…is this +ev and if it is..go with it and don't look back.  Best of luck at the tables!

Hand 1: there are plenty of AT AJ J9 type of hands that are calling that line. I would never be able to get away from that hand on the turn. You still probally have the best hand and you have to go with it. There are flushs there but you can't allways look for monsters in the closset.

Hand 2: The blinds have passed you there is no need to push such a marginal hand, unless you have seen the guy fold to a raise a few times.

It is always better to push first rather than reraise.
