Ok to start off not long on table villian has recently doubled. Preflop with 99 here always puts me into a spot of bother. looking back over it now i am leaning towards a fold pre, but then again is 99 to good of a hand to fold here to a single 3bet? As played(which wasn't very well) is it worth rasing the flop here as a bluff, i mean he can only continue wit AA Kx, 7x and maybe flush draw. And what do you think about flatting the flop bet and hoping to get to showdown? Or is it just a fold on the flop?

Flatting 3bets oop with no plan is burning money IMO.

If you're raising here it's not a bluff really because he's not folding any hands that beat you other than TT-QQ. So it just seems spewy altogether and like closing your eyes and crossing your fingers and hoping it turns out OK. It's true this flop is dry and doesn't hit much, but AK is a big part of his range and what are you repping…KQ?

Yeah thought i was prob a fold pre alright, but as played do people give up to his c-bet here? Its not the worst board in the world for 99s right? Maybe flatting  the flop and folding to a barrell is the right way to go.

folding pre is by far the best play, i agreee with gobsmacked here in that you are lighting money on fire by calling this pre.
imo i think its actually a pretty bad board for 99, because i cant really think of a hand that you beat now except for maybe AQ, i dont think much else cbets here.
if it was 77J then i think its much easier to peel a card, but if you are continuing on this board i would be check calling and not check raising.

K77 to an opponent who 3bet an EP range. If we assume he'll check back TT, JJ, QQ a fair share of the time and sometimes KK, and cbet AA, AK, sometimes KK, AQ, and some other bluffy type hands, I still don't think we're doing that great with a check raise here. And if we check raise we're turning our hand into a bluff, which means we're trying to fold out one of the previously mentioned hands, which only works with bluffs/AQ and if he bet with TT/JJ/QQ. If you're really really sure he's bluffing you can check call but you're going to have so many tough spots on the turn I think I hate that option more.

Poker is about putting yourself in good situations you can profit from as much as possible. Here the key decision is preflop because you shoudl be deciding whether to 4bet and go with it or just fold. Flatting puts yourself in a tough spot on many many boards and often we play fit or fold. I would be much happier check raising this board if it was J77 than K77 because AK you have to figure is a decent part of his range and if we check raise we represent nothing because we go with AK preflop so we can't really have that, so we're repping a random 7 (87ss?) or KQ? Doesn't seem legit, which doesn't matter against a fish but as you play against better players it will.
