I had been playing pretty tight and was really card dead and after 7hrs the highest pair I had was a pair of 10's twice. So my image was pretty solid and since I was not going to just sit there it was time to start making some moves.I had around 42,000 and the blinds were 600-1200-200 ante..I raised under the gun to 2700 with 9s-10s and was raised to 5000 from seat in the cutoff who had around 96,000 give or take.So there is 10,300 in the middle and 2300 to call.I call and the flop is 7d-8d-Ks diamonds, I am 1st to act, I led out for 4500 and was reraised to 20,000..I ended up folding and was shown ACES…Any different way I could have played this hand apart from obviously folding pre-flop.Was just sooo card dead with a good image and wanted to try and get some chips? Thanks!!

$185.00 Buy in-30mins levels..starting stacck was 25,000. 25-50 blinds.Villian was pretty solid and played and represented what he was raising with….had a feeling he didn't respect any of my raises since I was the youngest at the table and they were a bunch of older regulars who played this Sunday event pretty much every week and they were getting a bit sick of by 3 bets in position…So I had put him on a pretty solid hand when he raised me but he didn't raise enough with $10 k in middle and 2300 to call and wanted to test just to see if maybe had QQ's or JJ's with the raise on the flop and got my answer….

You have some decent equity w/ the open ender, and bet folding is a good way to flush that equity away.  Check Raising or Check Calling both seem like much better options.

yeah, as played obv def fold.  but I kind of agree on check calling as we can expect to extract a lot of chips when we hit.
