88 oop .. turned set ?

No HUD stats, HEM was laying up with 6 max tourneis for me.

seriusaction seemed to be playing ok and not getting out of line. UStakEmEGGtHx was opening pretty wide for obvious reasons.

Feel like I botched this up most of the way..

Firstly, can we 3b UStakE oop ? I felt pot control was in order here and setting was the better option.

Secondly, what are we doing on the turn with 2 players still in the pot ? Is the most value extracted by bet betting turn and river ?

I'd go for two streets of value here. I'd bet somehwere between 15-17k on turn.

I think you played fine Preflop. I woudlnt 3bet unless am ready to put all in the middle as I am opening the door for him to put full pressure on me with his big stack. I would bet every street aiming for a shove on river here. you dont have a read so what is the point of trapping or slow playing and there is a str8 threat out there.

Preflop you have 35bbs and are calling 1.5bbs so that leaves you enough room to set mine…if he had raised 3x I don't think you could do that. I don't mind a 3bet at all if he's opening wide though as I think you take down the pot more often and if you want to get action later when you have a hand it's not bad to 3bet in spots like this. This is coming from my cash game mentality though. 🙂

On the turn I don't see anything else than betting being an option. I mean it would be distastrous to have it check through again if you're looking to CR and then the river brings a four-straight card or something like that. No reason to get super tricky here.
