Same villain as my last post.. super fishy stats.

 

Can we check this river OOP to a fishy villain to induce a bulff/semi bluff ?  or are we losing too much value most of the time ?

I don't think so since your lead on the turn after check-calling the flop seems strong and at that point you only need a 5 in your hand for a straight.  I bet the river all day, fairly large (1400-1500ish) and hope he also has a 5 since your straight is 8 high.  Although I guess that gives him the opportunity to raise and rep a flush.  I still think I bet a majority of the time, since he may also put you on a busted flush draw to get some wider calls from him.
