hey

I decided to play my hand differently , usually i'd bet flop to get value from AJ/AT 99/TT/JJ
and secondary value targets like flush draws. We are roughly 35bb effective and i must say i'd be more then happy enough to gii otf ,
so i was thinking perhaps go for a check raise otf and call a 3-bet shove , stacks are quite shallow so for that reason i think c/r and calling a shove
would be fine. I think i'd actually want villian to call my c/r rather then for him to shove , because i'd like to be the one who
puts the last bet in , so if had called my flop c/r i probably would of shoved turn , if he has AJ/AT he probably ain't folding.

anyhow I decided to go for a c/c line , I would have prefered if stacks were deeper and up against
an aggressive opponent , so i think my c/c line in this hand was a mistake.

my plan was to c/c flop and c/r turn, Though i would of prefered to c/c and lead turn as the board has a lot of flush and straight draws , i also would of done this with the stronger part of my range
with AA/88/55/ as well.

so yeah just wanted to find out your thoughts on this hand?

Yeah I think checking flop is a mistake. There are so many turn cards that suck for us, and by giving up the initiative we allow villain to check behind turns that aren't good for him. I'd probably bet out all 3 streets here.

Incidentally, apologies if it's been mentioned before, but you'll probably get more responses if you run your histories through a converter. Your hands are hard to follow in this format and I usually end up giving up halfway through!

Agree with Plastic. Why do you want to be the one putting in the last bet? Why are you so focused on the draws? They really aren’t much of a concern here, the Ah is on the board which limits how many flush draws he will have, and there’s only one OESD which he probably isn’t playng 87o so I’d guess he flops a draw less than 5% of the time here.

Not sure if my thinking is incorrect here andrew but to answer your question the reason as to why i'd like to be the one who puts the last bet in is because IF villian instead shoves ( 3-bet shoves as a semi bluff otf) he's going to have decent equity. were as if he calls the flop c/r and we shove turn we're putting them in a tough spot,  they won't be getting good odds on the turn shove and their equity is dramatically decreased.

I agree that im to focused on flush draws , i really should be focusing on their “whole” range rather then only just 1 spefic part of their range, for sure.
