heeeeey

reads – V has been playing pretty aggro.

First of all i'd like to say I probably should of just folded pre flop but given that its short handed I think my call ain't terrible we do have position after all.

Post flop villians range is extremly wide when they bet flop and i actually think raising here could be good with a gut shot .

I decided to call flop as played , on the turn made a pair , v checks and now i'm wondering if i should bet turn as a bluff? I'm pretty sure if v had a strong hand he would bet it , hands like 9x would be bet for value they may decide to check turn with there marginal hands though like 7x 2x 33/44 and give up with there air hands.

on the other hand im thinking that given its bvb villian probably won't fold that often so i think bluffing won't  be as effective also if we do decide to bet turn , it's pretty hard to represnt much apart from 68s/97s/95s and maybe sets , 99 would be 3-bet pre.

Our hand does have some showdown value given that villians range is  so wide but i think turning our hand into a bluff is probably better overall imo.

so ya what would u guys do here and why?

What does being short-handed have to do with anything? You're always two-handed once it folds to the SB. The only way it affects anything is that there are fewer antes in the pot, so if anything you should call slightly less, but really I'm never folding anything getting 4:1 or whatever heads up in position vs a wide range.

I agree that raising flop is probably best.

I don't think you're going to make better hands fold with a turn bet. There may be some merit in a small protection bet, but I don't mind the check. Clear check back on river.

why do you think that? why do u think we can't make a hand like A7 fold or a hand like T7s? he's clearly checked the turn we can pretty much certain he does not have monsters in his range so why not try and represent one?

i just dont agree that better hands are not folding,  If I bet  half pot on the turn and bet pretty big on the river you're telling me your not folding 2ed or 3rd pair here?

doubtful..
