Hi all,

Fairly early, 44bb deep $2/$2K mtt on …..p://FTP.  Had a read on the utg – he was min opening frequently.

After the short stack shoves, do I call to set mine or reshove to isolate the shortie and pick up the additional dead?

I can call and fold if I miss and still have 35BB

It was my intention to set mine until the shortie went all in….

Thanks!

Before I joined TPE I would have definitely set mined.  Since watching ttwist and bigdog, accumulating chips via spot aggression has been working for me.  Wouldnt have thought of doing this preTPE.

Thanks again!

I was actually going to fold until i read your read on UTG.  I figure we're close to 50% vs shortstack and with all the dead it's obv +EV to be up against him only but I was concerned that UTG had a callable hand until i noticed you said that he minraises frequently.  Once he calls the shorty shove he's still got a marginal hand IMO.  Otherwise he'd be reshoving to thin the field out.  Nice shove.
