Hey
reads – V was somewhat aggressive and seemed pretty active , they'll also call 3-bets quite often pre with a wider range.
I decided to merge my range against this opponent since they'll call 3-bets with weaker hands which KJ has dominated,  so i'm 3-betting here for value.
I think betting flop is standard really , we could get value from worse kx A9s, JTs/QTs flush draws, and medium pocket pairs.
What's tricky is though that we're roughly 30bb effective and a hand like Top pair good kicker is actually pretty strong when stacks are this shallow. Then again is any decent player going to call a turn shove here with KT? or JTs for a gut shot?, seems rather unlikely right? but they might call with a flush draw perhaps?
On the turn the pot is roughly 74k and i think villian has like 80k or something behind , so i just jammed turn hoping to get called by worse.
was my play okay here? do u think it would of been better if i had bet bigger otf and then shoved turn?
cheers!

It feels like you're turning your hand into a bluff. What worse hand would he call you with? If you want to get it in, you might as well try for a check shove. I think if he had a flush draw he would have raised on the flop.

I feel like the turn shove blast him off of hands we are likely to get one more street of value out of Kx's even A9, and the times we get called we are behind. Only draw that I can see really calling you here is some type of combo draw such as Q10cc etc..

If I read that HH correctly villain had almost 100k left. Preflop, flop are ok, but I dont like the shove either, pretty sure even combo draws do not get the right odds. If V was aggressive and playing subpremium hands as you described, and you're quite certain you're good here, why don't you let him do the betting? If you overshove like that obv you're only gonna get called with better hands.

Don't 3bet pre unless you're going to feel good about putting stacks in on a board like this. That said, I do think you can probably feel good about putting stacks in on a board like this. Bet bigger on flop, though, so it's not like 1/3 pot on flop and then 1.2x pot or whatever on the turn.

@fire , by checking we will be giving Villian a free card, i dont see no reason as to why we should be slow playing here imo.
