I'm confused as to the best way I should have played this hand. I think pre and flop are OK but am unsure if I took the best line after that.

After he called the flop bet I'm thinking he could have floated with any pocket pair or Ax hand so I decide to double barrell given the 5 doesn't change much. Then when the second K comes on the river I feel I can justify a jam and if he has a king then so be it.

The villain was new to the table and this was his first hand played.

I'd appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Drop pre…….but if you are gonna play this from such an early position, you have to C-Bet this flop………after the call, I am done with the hand on the turn.

yeah thats an interesting line alright

1stly – preflop there are 2 shorties who could reshove behind us in LP.. id call off the 10bb stack but fold to the other one coz its for half our stack.. just something you prob thought about before you opened anyway

2ndly – its interesting what villain makes of your 2 barrell.. i mean i expect you to check most hands to me on the turn if im villain, including K's and pairs through to JJ, for control/deception/bluff catcher or whatever..

so if im villain, im confused and would actually probably fold ALL non Q hands then..

as for the river.. easy shove, you made this decision on the turn.. you cant bet turn and check river imo coz theres no way he's double floating with complete air

oh and by this street you HAVE to make him fold a better hand

although a pretty risky play i like it.. you probably can get a spew-fold there from QJ
