So, pf he litereally min 3 bets. I obv cannot fold, considering I only need to pick up a cbet post for proper set mining. Does anyone like jam better? If I was in LP, the chips would be in, but from MP flat is best?
His 3b size really got me thinking…I am not sure what to make of it. I cannot recall seeing this from him in the past, and I am not sure how he views me. I have not been out of line at this table, but we probably have some history I can’t recall. He is on the looser side, afaik. With this 3b size, I am not certain his range is totally polarized, as it would certainly be with a normal 3 bet size. Is it possible that he may be trying to take the initiative with a medium strength holding like ATs, but still plans on folding to a 4b? Is this is a viable strategy to take against certain opposition with this stack? It is obv very exploitable if villains know we have a merged 3b range that will 3b/f for value/initiative here, but considering how engrained polarized 3b ranges are into everyones brain, I can imagine it might be +ev? Anyways, it was something I havent really seen someone do before from oop with this stack, so I wanted to give it some thought.
As for post flop, does anyone continue and if so, how?
This is a really difficult spot. Is there any chance he misclicked here pre? Clicking it back OOP, esp with him only having 35bbs in his stack, seems like it could be a mistake. Either way, the implied is pretty sick. Call 1k and if we hit our set, we are getting the remaining 19k he has behind.
He could be getting out of line here, but our defensive options are limited. If we flat the flop, he’s going to put us on what we have here: a marginal hand. We are going to be facing a turn bet in most cases, esp. because no cards on the turn are really going to help us except a 6.
Considering the fact that AJinOK seems to be the only player I recognize at the table, I simply let him take the pot and not overthink the situation. There will be much easier spots later on than this.
