The blinds are 400 / 800 and antes are 50.  Villian is mid 40's, has been playing a bit on the looser side, but not overly Aggro.  He has been overbetting pots, so not sure if he is paying attention to pot size or not.  He seems to comment alot on other people's play, quite talkative and shows hands instead of mucking.

Hero has been playing fairly tight as of late, a bit card dead for the last couple rounds.

UTG+1 limps with 8 BB behind (a bit odd).

Villian is UTG+2 and goes All-in with 14 BB's.

Everyone folds to Hero in the CO with 24 BB's and has AQo.

Is this a shove / call by Hero?  Or do we pass in this spot?  As the levels are 20 minutes long, are we looking for coin flips like this?  When the next level comes, Hero's stack will be in shove / fold mode.

I think this is an easy call. At 20 minutes blind levels live I don't think there are too many better opportunities to increase your stack. 8bbs play UTG+1 seems odd but I have seen loads of players limp with rubbish and fold even with 8bbs back in low stakes live tournaments. It is most likely that UTG+2 sees the limp as an opportunity to pick up some dead money so I think calling the shove is easily profitable in this spot.

Have you seen this player make any preflop shoves before?  Most live players don't play shove or fold with 14BB, so I doubt you're ahead here very often.  Given the small antes and the fact that 3 players are yet to act, I like a fold here.  I think you are flipping almost 100% of the time, and I don't think it's worth it when you know are behind.

Villian hasn't shoved before…this was his first time.  I feel like he was aware of his shove / fold stack size.

I felt I was definitely flipping against a middle pair or maybe a weaker Ace, i just didn't know if these are the kind of spots I should be taking to increase stack.

I wasn't really worried about the people behind me at this point.  My entire table had shove / fold stacks, which made it tough to maneuver.

If you have a read on the villain that makes you believe he is aware of his push/fold game then this is without doubt a very easy call for you to make.

If he is shoving hands like most pairs, AJ+, ATs+ and maybe KQ+ then youre in good shape against his range. Remember also that he is unlikely to be jamming JJ-AA as he would open raise and want action.

The blinds going up every 20 minutes makes this a spot that should not be refused at all.

I definitely agree wtih Poking Fun that if you know he plays push/fold this is a snap call.  In my experience playing 1-3 live tourneys per week for about this price in Minnesota, about 5% of the players would regularly shove 14BB.  Given the limper, maybe more like 10%.

Given all of the fishy things you noticed about the villain, what did you see to make you feel he gets it?

Or am I just living in Magical Christmas Land, and most of the fish in your casino know how to shove and fold?

I just felt he had a good grasp of the game, even though he was acting a bit fishy.  He certainly knew about fold equity as he was overbettign pots to push people off hands in my opinion.

I guess i'm having a hard time wrapping my head around CALLING a shove with over 20BB's as opposed to SHOVING the AQo with FE.  If it was folded around to me, or just limped by UTG+1 and then folded to me, i would of likely just raised to see the flop.  And if I was a bit shorter, i would of snap shoved.
