3bettor is 29/19/64 over 55 samples at the time. he 3bet my utg open during rebuy period with 88 OTB, I flatted with QQ. he cbet 972 flop, i called. shoved T turn, i called. now this happens after rebuy period. i doubt he is squeezing here but possible. 4bet pre kinda turns my hand into bluff as i dont think he spazzes with worse. decided we were deep enough to see flop, kinda sucks as flatter also gets to see flop but. obv not folding flop, turn is meh…thought about betting for value as Ah or Kh calls as well as TT/JJ. i decided against it and pot controlled it planning on calling most rivers. then the shitty river hits and he bets wat looks like value, i dont think he is capable of a blocker bet there with TT/JJ so this looks like AK alot. thoughts on all streets welcomed and sorry for the HH not converting. i cant seem to get it to work and this is my 3rd try at post lol.

There was a similar-ish hand in the recent podcast. In the hand the hero had QQ gets 2 callers and then a 3bet. Bigdog said he would 4bet/fold that hand as flatting invites the other two into the hand. Not sure that it's exactly the same here but that is an option and as long as you don't think he is capable of a 5bet bluff then I don't see it as a leak. The only problem then is if you think he would 5bet AK.

As played I think the call on the flop is fine as you don't want to get blown off your hand when he has Ah. I think I would bet the turn for value though as I don't see him checking any hands to you that are ahead of you, maybe except a trap with the nut flush. Checking also gives him that free card. His river bet could be small value, but could also be a blocker bet with TT or JJ, with the odds you are getting I would make the call.

checking that turn means you are inviting him to bet with 100% of his range on the river, so if you were going to check turn i would be prepared to snap off any non-heart (and prolly non ace) river

thanks for your replies…

im actually more likely to call heart rivers, not because i have Qh but because it wud be such a great card for him to bluff on….as is, his bet is so valueish that i cant expect him to think id fold to it. also, i cant see a random block bet TT/JJ there as they almost always would have barelled turn cuz zomg, i have overpair and the the flush can get there. just looks alot like a random 3bets pre with AK, cbets missed flop, gives up on turn, and oh wow i made a K on river so bet small to get a call.

anyway, i tend to overthink in these merge mtts and prob just have 4bet clicked it back pre…..or just bet turn.

yeah its pretty easy to level yourself in low stakes tourneys sometimes – 99% of the time villains has exactly what you think he has.

also, blocker bets as bluffs works awesomely, you win so many free pots by doing it because everyone thinks you are trying to valuetown them
