Hello MadBaltic,
I think the open on the cutoff with A8s is ok.
I would have folded on the reraise but maybe I am too nitty.
The flop is not that bad, the only hands beating you are: AA, QQ and 88 or AQ, so this is a very small percentage of his range. His range could be more wide because of him thinking you are stealing the blinds a fine percentage of the time.
Do you have more information on the villain? It is possible that he plays AK like this on the flop. KK could be discounted because of his turnplay. He almost certainly has an A or another set. Because of his turnplay I would think he doesn’t like the flush draw.
His play imo is very strong, I think better than one pair. So you are beat or have a split pot at the best (except for Q8). Unless he is very aggro with top pair or he doesn’t believe you have an ace. But for this you do have to have more info on the villain. His range seems to me very polarized.
I would have folded before the flop unless I would call to flop a monster. I am afraid your two pair isn’t a monster enough. But as I said, I am probably too nitty.
Greetz.

Have you been raising a lot in late positon? Do you think he's defending? Well I think him defending with any two is out the window after his turn bet, obvious of course after you shove and he calls, but trying to disregard his all in call on the turn after your shove I would say AJ, AQ, AK QQ's are all in his range unless he is a defender then it opens up, but seem unlikely since you have one of the Aces AA also way down the list 8's also seem unlikely for the same reason but all still possible. Is he such a maniac to bluff in this spot? I think you can get a better read on the hand if you reraise on the flop, kind of lost becasue it's a pretty wet board and the turn makes it even worse picking up the FD, if he does have a monster (AQ, 88,) he can't really check the turn because of how wet the board is so if he is one to always lead then his bet doesn't tell you as much as calling a reraise on the flop would. I think Ak and AJ are the most likely hands, Kings are possible but find it unlikely (not knowing much about this guy) since this much action on that board with an A so I'd have to say AJ or AK….. and of course that river sucks but just analyzing it from the turn down, and not being results orientated.
