I have played with the villian before, and had a note on him that he was quite aggresive and a bit of a maniac.

He once shoved over 200BBs after a flop of 456 rainbow with AJ os against 2 players

I had this hand come along early in a tourney. I've heard about instinct in poker and that sometimes to trust it and go with

it. Everything inside me told me to fold here. For some reason, my instinct told me he had KK or QQ but the player is a maniac.

I don't know whether playing with instinct is correct or not? It is not quantifiable. It is so subjective.

What would you guys do here? Thx in advance

If I had a note he's a huge maniac I might just shove here as there is probably zero chance he folds KQ, 44 or AK or some even random combo draw he picked up on turn.  If he has KK or QQ just bink a 5 on the river.  Based on your note I'd probably shove and if he set over setted us go ahead and fire up another tourney one of the nice things about online.

Thx for the replies

The hand history converter does not convert after the river. Anyone else have this problem? I always have to manually paste

the last few lines and insert the card icons.

Well I did what was suggested. Thought that this guy would never fold a K and if he has a better set, congratulations, move on. So I reluctantly shoved.

And he did have a set of Queens

We should be folding on the flop.

When we raise ott we need to make it much bigger for multiple reasons.

1: a bigger raise (in the range of 650-850) will usually be seen as weaker and more like a draw.

2: it builds the pot and allows us to value bet more otr and get called more often when we do so.

3: it gives draws worse odds to chase and actually can entice them to semi bluff with them.

Vs this kind of villain i'd consider this to be a cooler and happily shove turn vs their 3bet, however vs most villains i would not shove ott i would call their 3bet and donk lead all non scary rivers for aroun 1/3rd pot and fold to a shove. When we shove here we flip our hand face up and only the worst of players will stack off with worse.
