once he calls the turn with an ace on board, although it was obv a great card to dbl barrel, i give up on the river here.

That's a pretty tough bet to call if he doesn't have at least a Q and given his line it doesn't seem likely.  Since the flush draw doesn't come in I think it's a pretty good bet because I think the draw is a decent part of his range here and you can't really beat anything at showdown.

If you're planning to bluff the villain in this hand I prefer bet flop/check turn/raise river. Looks stronger. Then it looks like you checked the Ace when you hit it.

And you're investing the same as you would on a 3 barrel bluff.

Firing the Turn exposes yourself to being check-raised a lot here.

I like FKCoolers line best in this hand…..that would be the line I would take.  After he checks turn I'm more inclined to shutdown on river but like RFB said his range includes a lot of draws and we are probably going to have to 3 barrel to win the pot.  I dont mind your line one bit I just think FkCoolers hit it on the head with bet flop/check turn/raise river as being most optimal line.
