looks great to me – especially if you are balancing your bet-flop-small range, against this type of villain.

villain clearly spewed which is what a small bet is designed to do.

if villain had the flush draw and got there then meh. i would say that this play isn't great against passive villains who just flat your small bet with their draws. but getting it in here vs a draw is fine, its +EV for you.

I like the call preflop and the lead and sizing on the flop. His raise to 1050 with you holding the nuts, imo given the % of his stack he just put in, he's saying lets go. Even when calling here if the heart comes on the turn are you really going to get away from your hand? Given the stack sizes I'd say you made the right play. I'd be less likely to reshove if he had more behind (just to see his play if a scare card comes on the turn and have some pot control left).

Cool thanks for your thoughts guys. Turned out he had 89hearts exactly what I wanted(until he hit lol)  but it is comforting to know you agree with my line as i don't normally play nearly this high.

thats pretty much as bad as it gets for you, and you are still 66% or so. if he gets there then bad luck.
