Opponent was playing about 20pfr 21vp (small sample). I thought he might fold alot of his range here, given his stack size. I have started doing this recently wih most +ev hands against these stack sizes. I'm starting to think I might be a bit out of control with it, as I am behind most of the time when he calls here. I think i'd feel safer with shoving 78s here, atleast I have a decent chance against the overpairs.

Any advice is much appreciated, What would your play be here?, or does anyone knows a video that might help me with this?..

 Hand History
endurance(BB) $11275
GSmith(UTG) $5190
Me(MP) $3335
jm(CO) $19940
SoLa(BTN) $9260
karll(SB) $2835

Pre Flop: Me(MP) with
GSmith(UTG) raises 500, Me(MP) raises 3335, jm(CO) folds, SoLa(BTN) folds, karll(SB) folds, endurance(BB) folds, GSmith(UTG) ??

1. Define an open raise range for villain for example 20%.

2. Define an callrange for villain for example 10% (77+, ATs+, KTs+, QTs+, AJo+, KQo)

3. Define an overcallrange for other villains for example 6% (88+,AQs+,AQo+)

4. Calculate your FE and EV

If villain is opening 20% and calls 10% he folds 10/20=50% of the times.

So 50% of the times you gain 500+250+125 (+ Ante) = 0.5*875 =438

50% of the times villain is going to call, so in that case you calculate your equity vs his callrange.

66 has 40% vs the callrange I mention above.

So 50% of the times you have 40% equity to win = 0.5(0.4*(3335+250+125))= 742

And 50% of the times you have 60% equity to lose = 0.5(0.6*-3335)= -1000

So your EV vs villain is 438+742-1000= +180. Including overcallranges it isn't +ev

Sorry didn't put the blind level, it's 100/200 no ante.

Thanks for the reply mate. It is just what I needed to get my head back on track.

I didn't understand the math fully, but you have shown me what I need to learn next.

I just ran it through Equilab, and it tells me i'm +ev against his range with 88+, A9s+ and A10os+ against this players pf raise. I'll proably adjust here a little too as he raised utg.

 Thanks again, this really helped…

I did put him allin here in the end, and he called me down with 1010. To be honest it suprised me that this player was calling here, i'd been quiet and he seemed to be capable of folding..
