I believe I was ITM at this point, probably around 40 left and 1st was $1400. (top 47 were paid).
Does this hand change if we were not ITM (say 50 left and top 40 get paid). What hands do you shove here?
Everyone behind me were all quite tight. SB, he was a little tilted towards me and playing around 13/10.
Standard?

Can someone tell me the worst hand they are calling it off in this spot and the math behind it. This is probably the 2nd time in a row BTN has done this.

1st hand: play on AP is so weak/tight that you can profitably raise/fold in late position. You can make it c.3700 pre here and then make a decision to cbet post flop if you haven't folded to anyone's 3b jam.
2nd hand: are there antes (200)? I'll take it that there are so you have to call 16336 chips to win 20966, meaning you have to be 1.28:1 to win or 43.8% (1/2.28). So against his range you have to be 43.8% or better to win.
The next step is working out his shoving range in this spot. Here's what different ranges fair in terms of percentages plugged into PokerStove.
Top 10% worst hand would be: 88 (44.1%) and AQo (50.8%), AJs (46.3%)
Top 20% worst hand would be: 33 (44.3%) and A8o (43.8%), A2s (44.6%), KTs (44.9%), KJo (45%)
Top 30% worst hand would be: 22 (45.5%) and A2o (44.4%), A2s (47.5%), K9s (46.4%), KTo (47%), QTs (45.8%)
Hope that helps a bit. I find this part of MTTs really difficult, but I guess if I only have 10BBs, I need to chip up and think that BTN is shoving wide then I'd go with the hands above. This has really helped me think about this so thanks for putting the question out there – I've never sat and worked it out before! Happy holidays!
