Hey
reads – v has been active , calling raises very often , i've not seen them 4-bet though. Previously i did 3-bet v and folded to a 4-bet shove against a different villian that got involved, so maybe v thinks i'm 3-betting with a wider range in this spot , which seems very likely as its bvb.
thoughts on 5-bet small? or do u think shoving is better? or maybe just flat?

I like flatting to keep villains range wider as its blind verse blind. Our spr is low and we get our stack in over 2 streets easily. Flatting keeps villains bluff range in and is probably our only chance to get more money in the pot from this part of his range.
And what if Hero had KK or QQ in this situation?
Does that change the situation?
Curious to know that.
Wappie,
Do you think villain is going to fold KK, QQ or JJ when he has an overpair to the board? Not a chance.
There arent many action killers as an Ace isnt going to flop often as we have two of them in our hand and if villain hits a set with a J, Q or K good on them. We were going to get it in preflop anyway so it would have run out that way. Villain can easily c/r all in on wet flops as they are not wanting to fold their big hands on drawy flops.
Also Wappie whilst its best to have a value target as Andrew recommends and advocates we want to be playing against his range, not a specific hand in this instance. Therefore its better to flat and keep his bluffs in the pot. Sure we might be behind a flopped 2pr or have to fade a solid draw sometimes, but its going to be the most +EV play long-term.
