Hey
i've only seen v 3-bet once on the button , other opponent folded to the 3-bet so never got to see
a showdown , so hardly any reads on V.
I don't usually 4-bet in the early stages, it's something that i think we should be doing more often even at the early stages! There's tons of players out there that's going to 3-bet wide even pre antes! small pots must really mean something! lol.
so instead of nitting up i went for the 4-bet and the hand i did it with was a reasonably good one imo. We block a lot of Ax combo's and also if we're called our hand flops pretty well and its disguised , we also have postion which is a bonus for us.
thoughts on hero's 4bet? would you prefer if for instance hero had more sufficent reads that villian 3-bets quite often and folds to 4-bets or if theres a dynamic? obv that would be even better imo, but what im wondering is if 4-betting is okay when we lack in reads?
cheers.

I think the reason you don't see a lot of light 4-betting pre-ante is that your average opponent has very nitty 3-betting ranges and has trouble folding big pairs even when those pairs are the bottom of their range. So it's a good baseline exploit against an unknown to assume that if he 3-bets he probably isn't going to give up easily. You're right that this is a decent 3betting hand, but it's not the very best (that would be A5s).
