Which piece of software should I use to calculate the profitabilty of 4-bet jams?

Eg – I open MP and villain on the button 3bets… Is there a piece of software that i can input the “number of chips hero and villain have”,” the size of pot”, “my hand” and “villains calling range”… then use this info to work out what % of the time villain needs to be raise-folding before my 4bet jam is +ev? 

I want to 4bet jam more bluffs versus potential light 3bets but basically want to have some solid foundations behind it rather than just punting my life away.

CREV can do this. The other variable you'd need is Villain's opening range. Hold 'Em Resources Calculator can generate “optimal” ranges for raise-3bet-4bet situations, although it ends up giving somewhat skewed results because it can't account very well for the possiblity of calls.

Sounds great – I’ll check it out. Can Slice be used for this? I’ve heard of people using that programme too but I’m not quite sure what it is

Yes slice can do it and its free (and calculates the FE), also the other 2 proggrams are worth it

 

daryl has done a cool series about 3-4 betting with slice witch it would help to get atleast familiar with and much more…

Yea I'll watch that series as I had no idea how to get results from CR EV in my hasty 10 minute attempt that involved no research of how the programme works
