Villain is 5/5 (41 hands) and I am pretty much confused what is the
optimal line here. Maybe 3bet/fold (he has 33 BBs)? Or call and try to
play in position?

You are still in early position and you have a lot of players to act behing. You for sure should 3bet this and try and somewhat isolate. As it was, noone else came in but when you are just flatting an open from UTG+1 I think you are more times than not getting more callers, then you are gonna have a difficult time post flop.

Take control of this hand with a 3bet. No reason to think about 3bet/folding at this point. If he throws in a huge 4bet than we can definitely consider laying it down given his stats. Make the 3bet somewhat considerable since it is early stages and you will definitely find out where you are at. You 3betting a UTG opener looks really strong from UTG+1 and is the right play.

As played. I dont think there is any reason not to throw in a value bet on the river.

I think you could have been more agressive with this hand. Post flop for sure, I would have raised his c-bet, you have over pair to board and flush draw. As played his check on the turn could have been an act, but the check on the river is weakness and he just wants to get to showdown cheap, I would have made him pay with a value bet.

Basically fine with 3 betting or flatting pre, but I would almost certainly value this river as he has checked twice and it would seem very unlikely that he has a bigger spade here.
