109$ freezeout

3 players left.

Prizes are around:

3300$

2200$

1600$

I have 22BB, Chipleader has 45BB, shorty has 9BB.

When im on the button CL is in SB and BB is the Shorty.
I have been raised the CL Big Blinds, from SB,  2-3 times and he has shoved into my every time. That has happened since the shorty lost haft his stack. So he knows that there is a moneyjump and that i want the shorty to bust before i ship it in. So how should i play when im in SB? The hand i busted i had 1010. Should i just ship this when the stacks are like this?

In the hand i raised 2.25x from SB and shoved with QJ. This must be a call?

Is it better to just ship pre? If it is. what is the range i should ship it?

If your in the SB with a hand like TT shorthanded, that is strong ship-it hand. It is always better to be the aggressor put your opponent to the test. If you ship before he does that represents strength. As you mentioned he was taking advantage of the meta-game of payouts and applying pressure to you. With your stack size you want to look for spots to get it in pre, especially on the button so you can pick up the chips. You can widen your range a little as well. If the big stack is a thinking player he will not want to risk half of his stack just to knock you out unless he has a strong hand by calling your shove. However, it sounds like he sensed weakness and was putting you to the test.

“In the hand i raised 2.25x from SB and shoved with QJ”

Are you trying to say you had QJ in SB and 2.25x raised and he shoved on you? Or, he has QJ and shoved that on you after your 2.25x raise?

TT is the nuts 3 handed, I would be raising to induce like what you have done. If villain can do this with qjo he also does it with A5 or probably T9 so i think you played it fine.

Sucks you obv lost the flip though

+1

ofcourse you can shove too, but i also prefer the raise to induce with a hand strong as TT, cause like benny mentioned with given history he will shove with a wider range.

no worries, just ul this time.

Agree with praetor. I think you only move at your spot is shipping it pre. Being the 22bb stack is a nice luxury to have some good equity for the shorty. It is applying a lot of pressure on both opponents. And having TT in that spot is a snap shove im “beginning” opinion.

I am opening as you did to induce shove.  he probably calls with 44+, any ace broadways and some otehrhands that you have dominated and only a few flipping

Given the hx that he shoves on you everytime you do this, I hope you raised and fist pump snap called and did not think about it at all. Otherwise you should just jam if you just wanna pick up blinds and antes so you dont have to potentially race against overcards. ICM wise you are second guessing yourself, it all comes down to are you picking up pots and slowly chipping up or are you getting played at everytime by both players and losing your stack. Sounds like you cant really even pick up blinds and antes, nothing wrong with your play imo as you could easily have him dominated.

i like r/c pre…..he will shove so many worse hands. sure you can just open jam and scoop up the pot pre, reduce the variance until we get HU, im sure ICM calculations will agree. but at some point, we have to get in high EV spots and play for 1st, esp with a top 3 already secured. id be more inclined to minimize variance + take ICM into more consideration, if we were still 6/7 handed with a couple of SS ready to bust.
