Hero?
Pretty weird spot… but i'm pretty sure we are ITM
At the time my eyes shot out of my head when BB cold called my 3bet..
What do we think about 3 betting in the first instance?
I treated ozenc's raise as essentially a shove so i'm happy to get it in vs his opening range.
Trouble is i dont know what to do with this other guy in the pot?
yo hapes!
3 betting shoving seems sensible, as to 3bet 3x as you did gives BB the option of shoving and then we have to fold (unless you have reads to say otherwise?) – I guess you were giving him the chance to do that, thinking if he did shove you were crushed….? Peronally the 3bet shove works for me, as he may reshove with 99+, or wider, therefore youre open to explotation….
So his cold call tells us he is either trapping or terrible…. Any reads on him? Is he terrible?
If he's weak / terrible player I probs cbet, if he's not I check it down
@ badabing – yeah you're right, a full reshove wasnt possible after the OR went all in
@ sammyboy – i guess i'd say the guy to my left was tight and passive
i think i would usually just reshove here also. at the time i was thinking about the buy-in to the tourney and felt like everyone would be paying attention and this raise would look stronger and have a better chance for isolating the OR HU
after all i probably wasnt raising with the intention of folding to a 4bet anyway so i guess shoving would have served the same purpose?
