Villain was playing 10/4 over 20sum hands. So he def had a premium when he 4betshoved on me. Vs AK/QQ+ I have 38.8% equity which would just give me the right price to call and with the blinds going up in a few to 50/100 I made the call. Vs QQ+ I have 30.8% equity. Would you have done the same?

yeah even against a nit you had the right price to call.
if you think that he is never going to get it in with worse after you 3bet though, you could just flat and keep thinks like AQ etc in villain's range.
somehow i dont feel like getting 50BB's in pre against a nit with AKo is a good play
for starters i would 3bet smaller to 345 or something given that we are in position. this makes it harder for him to re-jam 8x our raise and risks less of our chips to get the same job done
if i could ask though – knowing his image and numbers, when you 3bet him did you intend on calling a 4bet or 4bet shove before it happened?
i still feel like i would fold here as he's unlikely to be doing this with any hand we crush and its a huge portion of our stack to risk
yeah the only thing about playing a tight guy who holds QQ or KK is when an A hits the flop you wont get any more chips out of him, as opposed to when you get it in pre and win you win 50BB's
early in MTT's i'm personally a bit more conservative and would raise with the intention of folding to this shove, OR just flat as benny suggested
I agree with Hapetimes here, i'd make the big fold too against what seems to be a tight player, mainly because your rarely ahead and have a nice stack. I'd save the chips for a better situation, in this one against such a tight player the best your proably gonna get id him having the same hand or a coin flip. I couldn't see him 4 betting with AQ-.
was reviewing a similar hand recently, where i got ~50bb in with Ak against tight player. I obv regretted it when he flips KK, but thought lots about who I'm getting 50bb in w/ Ak pf and decided a 10/4 (or similar)opener ain't one of em….
Interested to see ttwist say he's getting it in. Perhaps this is how you win tourneys?!
