Poker Stars $30+$3 No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t800/t1600 Blinds + t200 – 8 players – View hand 2615246

25875778 (MP1): BB = 30.4, t48573
Hero (MP2): BB = 21.6, t34591

allinandi25 (BTN): BB = 5.5, t8803
FERTRUCHO (SB): BB = 26.3, t42035

Astrodust (UTG): BB = 4.1, t6524
15animal (UTG+1): BB = 31.8, t50921

Pre Flop: (t4000) Hero is MP2 with A of diamonds K of clubs
1 fold, 15animal raises to t3455, 25875778 calls t3455, Hero raises to t34391 all in, 5 folds, 25875778 calls t30936

Flop: (t76237) 5 of spades 6 of diamonds Q of diamonds (2 players – 1 is all in)

Turn: (t76237) J of spades (2 players – 1 is all in)

River: (t76237) 8 of spades (2 players – 1 is all in)

Is my 3b shove correct?

Or should I just 3b  and take the pot away on the flop with a c-bet?

Cause if this guy with his 10`s would call my 3b then there would be a good chance, that he would have folded vs my c bet on the flop.

Does that make sence?

I'm always shoving in that spot. I don't want both of them to call, in fact I probably prefer them to fold rather than flip against a hand like TT or even 66 that may feel lucky and any 3bet is gonna imply putting at least one third to half of your stack there anyway so for me that's a standard 3bet shove.

Basically I don't want them to feel like they can cheaply have a look at the pot. I want them to either commit with any hand or give up without a flop. If I had something like QQ or KK I may 3bet and then push any flop but with AK I prefer the push

I like the shove because of the 10% overlay and AK is fine against 2 lower pairs or a pair and AQ.  If they both call, its 3-1 money on 2-1 odds.  So yeah, I like it.

Yeah, always shoving here. I also think that asuming he folds TT on this flop to a cbet is wrong. At least I wouldn’t. Then again, with these stacksizes I would just get it in pre if you 3bet instead of shoving then I’d 4bet shove with TT.

Daryl Jace always does wierd pseudo-shoves, where in this spot he may make so he has 5bbs left if villian calls, which he will always shove no matter what the flop is.  He said if there is a 1% chance that villian will fold the flop then it's worth it.  I'm not so sure about that, personally I'm just shoving pre.

V was holding pocket 1010 and bust me, so I was thinking maybe with a c bet I could push him off his 1010 hand, instead of taking a flip

Thanks guys for all your input appriciate it.

I agree TT is probably not folding but a hand like 88 might, specially with someone else behind still to act. However as I said I'm pushing every time and if he calls with TT that's fine. FE + Pot Odds it's always gonna be an EV+ move.

If the villain is decent then he might just flat the 3bet with 1010 but he shouldnt be folding that flop with that stack depth, you obviously would have air in your post flop cbet/shove range. 1010 is too good to fold imo
