I was feeling the pressure of the blinds raising

    HOLE CARDS

Dealt to HOLMESBRON

my plan here was intitially to call to try to hit set but I felt with my stacks i didnt' really have set mining potential so i would try for a reraise shove steal,, willing to gamble against ace king.

bollitore folds
ivana168 folds
predatorD55 folds
MASTER PRAWN raises to 1,500
kanonskogel folds
pippo67 folds
HOLMESBRON raises to 8,278, and is all in

good shove ?

maya1919 raises to 11,110, and is all in
MASTER PRAWN folds

i didn't plan for the bb to wake up with a monster. but even with that,, was my shove in the sb as a resteal good ?

I would usually fold to the 3x from 22bb stack. It suggests that he has a tighter range and we will have less fold equity. If he have seen him 3x a wide range then the shove seems fine. But I would snap fold 33 without reads.

I agree to fold.  The raiser has committed himself to the shortstack in SB, which makes me think he is less likely to be doing this with a hand he plans to fold.  Sure, you are often ahead a little when he calls you, but I don't see enough reason to make getting it in worth it here.

This is really dependent on the villain and the stakes you are playing. At most lower to mistakes, you will encounter terrible players who 3x fold to your 17bb 3bet shove. However, you need to know if he is in fact that type of player. Clearly, by 3xing in this spot we know the villain is not very good especially considering table stack sizes. I find it hard to fold if this player has been active , he raised from LP and we have a hand with good equity vs an aggressive players range.

That being said, he only has a 22bb stack in this spot so I would lean towards a fold. You really can’t worry about the BB, if he wakes up with a hand it is just unfortunate.

Your steal is perfectly fine most of the time though, the raiser is probably newer to MTTs or poker in general so his calling range will be bad and may in fact be mood dependent so you must be weary of that. If you give more info about players, stage of tourney, history, etc. we can be more helpful.
