The title pretty much says it. I won a 250€ ticket for PS.fr (I am not french btw… but I like the french players a lot… 😉 with a 10€ buyin satellite.

It's a deepstack tourney with 15 minutes blind levels and a lot of fish hoping to cash big.

I know that if you have a proper BR-management I shouldn't even think once abou playing.

But it is very tempting as this is the a once a year event with 1M€ gtd. and having the chance to play this is very exciting.

It will start this sunday and is a 3 days event.

Any suggestions?

Cash it in for T$ and play better bankroll-sound games. Even better, use the T$ for satellites for the same event.

Great idea. I'll use 50 T€ for satellites. If I get an other ticket, that's great, if not I've only lost 1/40 of my roll, which is a lot but not as crazy as 1/8.

Thanks.

The satellites are a good suggestion, but only because they are probably a good value. Even if you win another seat, though, you probably shouldn't enter the tournament. The fact that it is “very exciting” and also well above your bankroll will probably result in you playing poorly in a number of ways. If you play poker primarily for fun, and you think you will have fun, then by all means play it. But if your primary goal is to make money and grow your bankroll, then you should treat your satellite winnings as cash if they are convertible to cash, rather than use them as an excuse to play tournaments you aren't bankrolled for.
