I'm wondering how this hand could have played differently he wound up snap shoving the river. The villian is a reg with 19/16/6.5 perhaps I should have 4b folded pre.

With 35 BB's there is no way you can 4b fold here. Blind vs. blind I'm getting this in all day unless villain in BB is a complete nit. 4b pile is what I would do. He snaps off with Ax and smaller pocket pairs IMO.

i dont think so, it could also be back-doored diamonds as well if im reading it correctly
