$3 Bounty Turbo (Merge) - Final Table Shove?

I was wondering if this is a shove or not. I dont have a lot of experience at Final Tables, so I dont really take into consideration that folding can be +ev. I look at my cards I see a suited Ace 5 handed so I shove. I know all the players on my left need to have a hand to call me so that is how I justify my shove in the moment. The structure of this tourney is so shallow that I cant stop trying to accumulate chips. That is why I shoved. I also know that people call off light at these stakes and my equity against there calling ranges are 50/50. Was this a mistake?

I think your equity vs. their light calling range is worse than 50/50.

Let's assume they call something like any Ax, every pair, and K9s+

Well below 50/50. 11 bb's in your spot here is actually a lot and I don't think this is a mandatory shove. I definitely jam it from the SB. I probably jam from button. I don't think I jam from CO.

I think my adjusted range should be ATs+, AJo+, 77+, and KQs+. I dont think i can be opening then folding to a shove with my stack i should be shoving my whole range for value. Is that the right thinking?

i shove any Ax where the x is greater then the number of players left to act. In this hand it would be A4+. Think I heard/read it somewhere that this way the remaining players will not have a better Ax the majority of the time. If that makes sense…

Think Phil Gordon said it on a podcast once, either way it makes for an easy to follow rule

A2s is not really that bad of a hand if you consider wheel straight and flush possibility.  I play these same tournaments a lot and you will be called by everything so it usually becomes a race at best. This could be the best hand you receive in awhile before your blinds dwindle down, I would have shoved as well.

Phil Gordon wrote 3 books on NLHE strategy about 7 to 10 years ago but said not long ago that he's more family oriented these days and plays a lot less.  His statment seems to be agreed with by Hagbard Celine and RonFezBuddy who've made some excellent videos regarding shoving; locate by using “Math” as the subject.

Also in this case you're likely to be called by the BB, but you still should be plus ev.  If on the bubble, I might fold.
