This is well into a $3 6max tournie on Stars. On the flop turn, I don't feel I can stand a check-raise since AQ/AJ unlikely to be that confident to do this so I check back aiming to get more value on the river from weaker Aces and lower PPs. On the river I felt there were enough worse Ax hands in his range that he would not be able to get away from (given that if we give him all Ax hands possible we beat c. 67% of them), but does my raise only get calls from hands that we lose to?

As played, I call the river. He only calls river shove with better IMO. Then again it is a 3$ tourny lol

I might flat pre, You have 2 stacks behind you who could squeeze allin so this would be a good spot to do this.

Would like to see your 3b bigger pre since we are OOP. Not sure why we are checking back turn as we are missing value against AQ and AJ. He has a perfect stack to where we can 3 barell and have a perfect bet size on river to put him all-in. When the A hits the river we are obv never folding. If he check raises us on the turn it’s an interesting spot but what is he repping? Sets and big draws I guess. Either way the board is wet and I’m just not folding. 3 barell ftw. As played though I think I just call river because if we jam we are only getting called with worse if he has AQ and AJ.

If he's a bad player then i shove river, if you think hes decent then calling is best because he will call with better and be able to get away from Ax here. Bad players are less likely to let go of trips here. Van H3lzing is right when he says flatting is a viable option to induce the squeeze, but 3 betting is fine too.

Oh yeah my mistake. Yeah it's fine then. I wouldn't make it any smaller though.
