New table mid stages of a $2r on stars. Think flat pre is pretty standard….anyone ever 3 betting pre? Think flop call is also fine. Turn is where i start getting confused, its a huuge bet and just can't decide on any of fold, call or shove to be honest. Looking now i'm thinking a shove doesn't really achieve anything other than getting snapped off by better hands. Folding could be an option but soo many cards could come to improve our hand, call and re-evaluate river?? Will still be left with ~20bbs…

I do not mind the flat pre………but I would check raise the flop….that board hits all over your range…..if he flats, you have to barrell the turn as well.

i think its actually a pretty easy fold on the turn tbh. you are basically calling to hit your open ender and arent' likely to get action if it comes in given it is a one-liner

I agree benny…as played, dropping is the move, but we have given him control of the pot.  I would suggest opening on the turn if nothing more than a blocker bet……thoughts?

would never 3 bet this pre as its auto fold on a 4 bet rip and your more often than not flipping. Also the stacks are getting out of set range but 88 is not a hand your just playing to set with you may have the best hand, fwiw i would fold the turn

Stacks are getting really close to where you shouldn’t be flatting to purely set mine here but as played I like it except it’s an easy fold on the turn for me. Villain is never 2 barrelling with worse on this board with this stack and you just aren't getting the right price to hit your outs on the river.
