Hey All,

Excuse the HH, I'm perched up in bed now on my laptop. Anyways can I pls get some clarity on this !

2/4 – 45man

Blinds 800/1600

Hero SB 18k

Villain BB 42k

We pick up AQs in the SB

The remaining 2 players do not even have 1BB each and will be more than likely ousted in the next 2 consecutive hands. Pay jump from 4th to the almost guaranteed 2nd is over 2.5x more (as most would know).

I open shove.

Can anyone find a fold here under these circumstances ? On one hand it feels like a bad mistake and the other a standard shove going for the win.confused

Arrgh.

Feedback appreciated.

i think i fold here. even if it becomes a 3:1 chip defecit, you can still overcome that heads up

I wouldn't fold here .  BB is folding like >80% of the time and the times he does call you're prob close to 60% against his range . I put this in pokerstove 44+,A5s+,KJs+,QJs,A7o+,KQo as his calling range and you come out at 58% fav against that range . If he thinks you're never shoving there without a big hand then he's calling much tighter than that range obv so you're gonna pick up the 2400 prob 90% of the time and still be good against his range if he does call and you possibly double anyway.  So even with the obv ICM worries I still think it's +ev to shove

50/50 so far.

I realise it is a +ev shove and I also take benny's post on board.

I also realise that there maybe no right or wrong play however Is there an overwhelming opinion to fold or shove in this spot ?

Sorry to be a ball breaker, keen on more feedback on this one.
