Inspired by Andrew’s range constrution video, i started working on some of my leaks. I really have a hard time when i open raise from the button vs 20bb stacks. I put some numbers on CardRunners EV and here’s what i came up with:
For easier calculations i assume SB folds %100 of his range.

BB 3bet shoves %20,06 (AA-22,AKs-A2s,KQs-KTs,QJs-QTs,JTs,T9s,98s,AKo-A8o,KQo-KJo,QJo).

I call vs his 3bet %11,92 (AA-44,AKs-A8s,KQs-KJs,AKo-ATo,KQo)

BB calls my open raise %27,45 (K9s-K2s,Q9s-Q8s,J9s-J8s,T8s-T7s,97s-96s,87s-85s,76s-74s,65s-64s,54s,A7o-A2o,KTo-K8o,QTo-Q8o,JTo-J8o,T9o-T8o,98o-97o,87o-86o,76o)

I cbet my entire range. BB calls if he has a pair + flushdraw + open ended straigt draw + gutshot straight draw and folds the rest.

We check down the turn and river (For easier calculations).

Here are my questions:

In this scenario, my EV is only 0,34bb. Is it a good EV in a late stage of the tournament? What adjustments can i make to make my EV higher?

BB’s EV is a massive 1,44bb. He is printing money against my strategy. I guess only reason my EV is + is because of the times BB folds. This result really annoyed me although it is kindda cool when i am the one who is 3bet shoving vs wind openers 🙂 How do i make BB indifferent to shoving? How can i make his EV 0 or – when my EV is +? What adjustments should i make? Any ideas?
