bartman499 raises to t75, 3 folds, irokez1977 calls t75, 2 folds, SonOfBadger raises to t255, HERO?

No reads on any player, only 10-12 hands into the tournament, hard to see the SB raise with anything other that AA or KK, maybe AK? i was thinking the best course of action was to fold, considering the utg and the player in mid position yet to act? interested to hear any thoughts

cheers

I'm calling here, and if I don't improve then play cautiously post flop. Even if you are just playing to setmine then you are getting good odds but I think he will have AK a good amount of the time too.

if you call and the UTG raises are you giving up the hand or does it depend on the size of his raise?

If utg then 4bets and the sb flats or somehow folds then I would think I am behind and only call if the sizing was terrible enough to allow me to. As in I am only calling is it is a min raise, or up to about 500. At that point I expect utg to have KK+ and maybe AK (assuming he is competent). If the sb then 5bet then I am insta-folding.

Yeah, this seems like really sound logic. I think I'd flat and see how everyone else reacts. If the flop comes all low cards it'll obv. be pretty tough to fold QQ.
