Hey

reads – V has been playing aggressive , opening up a ton.

I wanted to  3-bet pre or shove however because of ICM and the short stack i decided to just flat. Is this okay? as for post flop i decided to go for a semi bluff on the turn. I think V range is really weak once they check back flop. I think they have air and at best a marginal hands which may include 78s/Q9/98s .

Cheers.

I like the line you took for the reasons you’ve given. I would probably bet less on the turn. Villain so rarely has anything on the flop when he checks back, I think we get folds from all of his air/bottom pair hands with a 1/3 pot. By betting smaller we achieve the same thing but lose less on the occasions that he has turned top pair.

Other than on an FT i shove this pre as ICM implications are not that big.

The main focus point when looking at ICM is the fact that we want to be the one putting the money in and not calling off.

This leads to some really strange scenarios where 3bet/shoving a hand as strong as AQs with stacks as big as 35-40BB is the play

If villain has been that active then I like a check raise on the flop.  When villain checks back I like a lead on the turn for 333,333.
