hey

This is my 1000th post , i feel like a TPE pro now haha , only joking 😛

no reads on v.

i think betting flop is fine as played on this board texture , there is a lot of bad turn cards for our hand and i think we can get value from weaker Tx , J8s, J9s, KJs and flush draws.  Ott i think my turn bet fine i suppose , i still think Tx will call so would KJ and flush draws. Of course v could have Qx but i reckon a big bulk of their range will consist of weaker hands which we dominate and can get value from. Since we have position checking behind could also be good as we can pot control turn our medium strength hands in this spot and call of a river bet. If v bets river their range will consist of Qx which we are behind but it may also consist of missed flush draws and straight draws  (assuming the river is a blank) and they could also be value betting Tx.

do you think if we had this hand oop we should be more incline to bet it or to check it? so basically if we were sb here and v is bb for instance? or would you go for a c/c line ott and re-evaluate river?  i personally think oop i’d be more inclined to bet rather then check, as with position we have more information. so if we did check back turn here and v checks say a blank river we could value bet our hand to get value from Tx. Only problem is because the board is coordinated i think there’s more merit in betting turn rather then checking back as v range will likely consist of a lot of  hands which may check give up otr but will be willing to call a turn bet with if that makes sense? so we lose value in a sense by checking turn, but at the same time It would be terrible if we faced a c/r ott in this hand which makes me wanna check back turn IP more often then not , or do u think my line was okay as played which was betting turn? i actually don’t think we can assume v is going to c/r here that often though , unless we had a read that they were aggro post flop then pot controlling would be more necessary. so yeah i reckon my turn bet was okay , this has to be a board which we should be front loading on imo , which is pretty much bet flop/bet turn and re-evaluate river.

thoughts?

cheers 🙂

think its played ok other than the preflop sizing. but thats up for debate

to your question: IP cold calls are smashing Qhigh boards. So we are mostly checking OOP
