This villain is not very good given his SS stats. 66 ability 12$ ABI 4k games. Also he had a decent vpip-pfr gap 10-25 or something. But not many hands on him. Easy fold? Kinda hard to tell given poor players tend to play illogically…

This is final table and opener is very laggy and using his bigstack well. I have quite tight image and displaying my supernova status. I would flat here every time but for some reason i clicked it back, probably heat of the moment. How bad is this play and is this a flat OTF 100% of the time? What cards do we lead OTT here?

Think I agree with checking flop on first hand. Turn fold looks good though, tough to find many bluffs villain plays that way.
Second hand is interesting. I’m probably inclined to check-raise since there are so many turn cards that kill your action – any T, K or club will make it hard for you to get value, and you also have a nut hand that doesn’t block any of villain’s bet-calling range. I might c/c with KT or QJ (which sounds weird since QJ is more vulnerable, but it’s way harder to get value from a c/r when villain has fewer Qx hands) but I think T8 has to be in our c/r range. I might just make it a check-shove since making it 90k or 100k from a 220k stack is pretty suspicious. We get called by any Qx or better when we do that, maybe even AJ/KJ also.

@ginger
You said you may c/c with K-T or Q-J here , are you not that worried if the turn is a if u have Q-J? you’re hand is vulnerable which makes me wanna c/r . I think what you’re saying is you dont think v is going to have flush draws in their range here that often which makes Q-J a good candidate to c/c ( and if v does have a draw the money is likely going in anyway) OTF and its also unlikely v has Qx as we block thse. There’s not much merit in c/r Q-J were as with K-T there is , since there’s more likely hood v will call a c/r with Q and Jx.

fapy,
It’s not enough to say “there’s some part of V’s range I’d prefer to c/r against, therefore I should c/r.” Yes, sometimes the turn will be a club and that may be tricky to play. But there are also parts of V’s range where c/r is undesirable. For instance, V might have 8d 7d planning to barrel lots of turns, or he might have KT. You have to weigh all these things. “Protecting” against draws is not often the most important factor in a hand, especially when those draws are not necessarily a big chunk of V’s range to begin with.

Thanks focault and i Agree with what u have written. If he has KT though we are beat? we are not getting away from this hand if he has KT , unlikely right? :\
This was in reference to your question about check-raising QJ. Also, even if we’re not going to fold later, that doesn’t make check-raising into the nuts desirable.

ah okay 🙂
V is a loose opponent so he’s unlikely going to have much of a strong range.
This flop hits the PFR range more then it does the BB right? If i were going to weigh out if V has a strong range or a weak range, post flop , i’d say a weak range as we actually do block a lot of value hands that v could have. I reckon v is more likely to have a hand like 8 7 rather then KT! as its difficult to make a strong hand in poker. I think c/c flop is fine with J-Q and then re-evaluate turn/river. I’d probably call turn and river on almost any run out..if there’s a 4 flush it’s terrible though ..lol as we could easily have a which means less chance v is bluffing otr right?
