Table had played pretty loose since 8 left in the final table. Shover is 28/22 over 36 hands and had been active throughout the table by stealing blinds and 3betting. I got to the final table as a 2-3BB stack @ 1.5k/3k and managed to ride a wave of premium cards, showing down KK and JJ on the way to the stack I have now. I had eliminated a minimum stack a few hands ago, so we hadn't established any dynamics 4 handed yet.

I think this opponent has a pretty wide shoving range from the button here 4 handed, so my thinking was that this was a fist pump call on the way to 3 handed. How off am I?

as you said, button shoving range is typically really wide, i would call this all day every day
Can’t fold AQ here. Very standard call given your read of him. The thing I always ask myself in these situations is does he have weaker aces in his range. He obviously ships AJ here (and weaker) so it is a fist pump call IMO.
When he wakes up with premium don’t second guess yourself he gets hands too sometimes you just got coolered.
