Villain is 7/7 over 30 hands. We are in the money. 101 players still in. 152 getting payed.

Dont know exactly what placing we have but i believe we are at best last third of the field.

What is your line?

Not enough hands to tell anything in a turbo. So stats go out the window for me. Reason being is that:

1. In a turbo orbits can pass and you are only shoving or folding anyway so a player is unlikely to be active. Spots and cards do not come up frequently sometimes.

2. The bubble was probably <30 hands ago so people tighten up to make the money.

3. He is now <10 bbs and in the CO. When folded to him from his stack he has to shove very wide to try and steal and keep a stack with fold equity. The CO is a very good opportunity to steal from this stack as the chance to shove before blinds go up and come around may not come up again before its kinda too late.

4. Only the BB actually has him covered (others close I know but still).

I am making the call here. You are crushing his shoving range imo.

In a $1r they’re not thinking about FE they’re not looking for spots they’re just playing their cards. especially a solid 7/7 player.

If it were a higher buy in i would expect a little more creativity but not at $1

7/7 over 30 hands doesn't mean a whole lot in a turbo mtt – he's still jamming plenty of Ax, Kx, and Qx that we beat and you need to take your +EV spots in a turbo mtt when they come up. If you pass them up late you have close to no chance at winning.

Edit: He's jamming a lot more than these – just saying he's jamming all Ax here so we crush 7 hands he'll go with and we're 60/40 vs. a ton.

I just crunched some numbers and its actually very interesting

in order that were 50/50 vs his range he has to be shoving a range of

22+ A2o+ K8s+ JTs+ QTs KTo+ which is around about 25% of hands.

He needs to add a lot of trashy hands in there to make this a clear +EV call. From a guy who’s played 2 hands in more than the last three orbits i just don’t see that his range is sufficiently wide.

im pretty much never folding A9 in a turbo w/ 7bb except for crazy action like 3 all ins or something

Looks really close. In a $1 tourny though I feel like you still have FE w/7bigs (esp with eff stacks as they are), so I'd prefer to pass and take the tons of shove spots that are guranteed +ev that will undoubtedly arise.
