Hi Guys,

Hero is in the bb just before the final table bubble with QJs, villan is sb and is a winning reg who has been “bullying” since just before the money bubble, he shoves, I'm convinced I'm ahead of his range but do I pass the edge up or call?

Thoughts please?

dont post results, but yes id be calling this, all money is locked in top 2 so you dont want to pass up any edges at this point.

Against a bubble abuser, and you were convinced you were ahead… Sure! QJs is more than a decent hand here. Trust your read and as Duggs said go ftw! Just because you got rivered doesn’t make it a suspect play. nh, let it go, load up another table, and if you find yourself in the same situation, do it again!

Against an agg player who knows how to abuse the bubble its a def call ur way ahead of his shoving range here [he should be shoving nearly atc here] and its a call  qjs for sure. I plugged the numbers in and you range to call here should be  55+ A3s+ A5o+ K8s+ K9o+ QTs+ QJo .

Snapping this off against villain you described. Against some opponents this is a fold.

Thanks for the input guys I was never folding.smile

I'm having a little downswing at the moment and its having an effect on my confidence and I'm beginning to question/doubt everything I'm doing.

I think I messed up the hand converter 'cos I'm sure I selected the dont show result option… doh!

I think QJs is a great hand……………..to shove with, not to call.  If you take into account the other stacks at the table, I would give some serious thought to a fold here.  For me, my calling range is A10o+, A8s+, K10s+, KJo+ 7s+.  I think SJohns range *55+ A3s+ A5o+ K8s+ K9o+ QTs+ QJo* is your shoving range.  We cannot make these decisions in a vacuum, we have to take into acct the other stacks and the fact they are on life support.  Remember, you cannot take every spot, it increases your variance too much.
