3 barrel bluff vs a calling station is usually a bad idea.

about your bluff:

– Don't really like to barrel with no equity, it's always better to barrel with outs (would have prefer a hand like 78 or a hand with a spade)

– It would be really interesting to know if your plan was initially to 2 barrel and give up the river (and you decide to 3barrel because of the 4th spade river) or to 3barrel what ever the river was. Because if your plan was only to 2 barrel or 3 barrel any river (even a total brik) I think the turn is a pretty bad card to do it (descrease your FE against his range imo)

– The problem of that kind of board is that when you pot size shove the river you are really polarized, it's nut flush or second nut flush or air (here it's better as you can have a full too).

So for villain having AclubQclub or TdiamondTspade or 9x doesn't change a lot of thing as your range is essentially Kspade/Qspade and full house… I don't know, can't say I like it but can't say I hate it,, depends on villain, if he is the type of villain to call you with any spade it's pretty bad, if you think he is only calling with Jspade or better it's probably ok…

Lol, a long post which is probably not helping you, just my feelings about the hand, you would have better advice with other members imo ^^

barreling is really player and gameflow dependant. while it might look bad to us it could be good in game so its hard for us to comment except that…..it just looks like hes got showdown that doesnt want to fold and its hard to say if hes folding river. he is passive post so he certainly could of chased it. i dunno. these spots, I hate myself when I chk river and he rolls over A4. then I hate myself when I shove river and he rolls over Q spade lol….. “why do i barrel stations!!!”

If he has not been folding to flop and turn cbets and showing down middlish hands on the river we dont want to be 3barrel bluffing this opponent. We should however be value betting wider with hands like weak top pairs.

I think after he calls such a big bet on the turn he isnt going to be folding alot of rivers. I would give up after a cbet in this spot because I dont think we are moving him off small Ax, 9x or any combos he has with a decent spade. Even if our read is that he isnt folding to 2barrels we shouldnt be cbetting at all as bluffs.
