Villian has been playing super aggro, especially in LP. My image is fairly nitty.

I chose an alternate line with my 15bb stack. I think most people still agree that with a 15bb stack,

we should be shoving or folding.  I don't necessarily agree.

Spewy of me here? thoughts on sizing?

and yes, if he 4 bet shoves preflop, i'm calling.  I'm almost never putting in 1/3 of my stack, and then folding.

I kind of like the spot to make a move, with the villian being agressive, and you having a nitty image; and the sizing being such that you made your hand look really strong.  It's too bad your hand value was so weak though, but if you really thought the spot was good enough based on your read, I think it was ok.

Sizing is fine.  I think folding is just better.  Just because he's superaggro doesn't mean he's not willing to get it in.  This move seems fine with a bit more equity.

I don't like this at all. I mean it just seems so unnecessary form your stack. We aren't in panic mode by any means so just fold and move on. We don't need to make things complicated and always be looking for spots to take.

Thanks all for responses.  this hand s.was from a couple years ago.  just found it, going over some old HHs.

this play worked with significant effectiveness then, but think people are so quick to 4 bet jam

a looser range these days, that I need might need a hand with much more equity in todays aggro game.

in those days, my play looked so strong, I would get folds a large % of the time.   Good players assumed they should be shoving, or folding, and that my hand “should be” super strong when I make this play.
