I don't have a big enough sample size to be 100% sure, but the $3r are probably better value IMO. The turbo structure adds variance and gives the fish a chance to luckbox their way to a deep run, but at least 50% of the field are awful.
The softest $3r MTTs I've seen are on UB, they have a great structure that gives you a great chance to make the most of your edge.
no pro over here, but i would say that i prefer 12$ and 7$ 180man sng.., especially the 7$ sng is very good value..
The 3+R turbo when it reachs the 30-20 players zone gets extremely all in fest, the blinds are very high, and i have been busted out in that zone with really strong hands more times that i can remember.. I had entered that “zone” as chip leader many many times, and lost the condition easily due to blind levels and high variance…
The prizes are not superior than the 12$, but a little bit higher than the 7$.. it last a bit longer, thats why blinds go so high and the other 2 don't (due to re buy period).
Considering that and that playing an average 3+R you have to spend at least 9+ (2 rebuys 1 add on).. i would definately go for the other 2, just personal opinion based in my experience.
regards.
Thanks guys. If the $3Rs become cr*pshoots at 20 to 30 players then that will make them less profitable. I'll jave to check out what the average M is at this stage. I am drawn to the $3Rs because of the dead money from players who give up in the rebuy period and the fact that the $12 games seem to attract a lot of reg grinders.
