There are actually two hands I have questions about.  They both happened realatively close to each other.

Full Tilt Poker $28,000 Guarantee No Limit Hold'em Tournament – t10000/t20000 Blinds + t2500 – 5 players

TournamentPokerEdge.com Hand History Converter

usadonk (BTN): BB = 49.3, t985612

razyn_kayn (SB): BB = 34.0, t679479

rjk16 (BB): BB = 24.4, t487878

ORLOVSKIY (UTG): BB = 34.3, t686268

pavi831 (CO): BB = 13.4, t268766

Pre Flop: (t42500) rjk16 is BB with T of hearts Q of hearts

ORLOVSKIY raises to t40000, 3 folds, rjk16 calls t20000

Flop: (t102500) 6 of clubs 8 of spades T of spades (2 players)

rjk16 checks, ORLOVSKIY bets t102500

rjk16???

I had a tight good image at the table.  I called pre because I thought I might be able to out play him post flop.  Then he made such a big bet on such a draw heavy board.  I was putting him on a overpair, but I think he might make the same bet with trips or two pair.  I don't think he makes a bet like that on a draw or air.

Is it wrong to fold top pair in that spot?

Now here is the AQo hand 7 hands later.

usadonk (UTG): BB = 49.0, t980612

razyn_kayn (CO): BB = 33.2, t664479

rjk16 (BTN): BB = 17.9, t357378

ORLOVSKIY (SB): BB = 43.1, t861768

pavi831 (BB): BB = 12.2, t243766

Pre Flop: (t42500) rjk16 is BTN with Q of clubs A of hearts

usadonk raises to t60000, 1 fold

rjk16???

Chip leader raises 3x utg.  He hasn't been getting out of line and that is a pretty big preflop raise, but I don't see how I make a play other than shoving.

What do you think?

1st hand… Is a tuff spot. Your really going to have to go on your reads with this one.

if you

Call – your going to have to make a big decsion on the turn, and probably for all your chips.

check raise all in – I don't mind this play, but your going to have to go with your reads. His pot bet is a bit of a over bet I can see Q 10 being good here alot of the time.

Fold- You can wait for a better spot to pick up chips.

and with AQ im shoving here most of the time!! it's 5 handed and your going to be ahead of his raising range alot here.

Hand 1: I dont see him on trips there as he's getting no value with the pot bet. I think an overpair is most likely and it doesnt look like he is folding to a shove. So I reluctantly fold.

Hand 2: V could have a hand or it could just be the big stack trying bully the table on the FT bubble. I think his range is pretty wide and AQ is just to good to pass there.

I fold hand one against an UTG raiser with only 25bbs behind.  It's either a shove or fold pre-flop, and I lean heavily towards a fold.  If it was a button raise or sb raise, I probably jam the QThh.

AQ in the second hand I jam no matter what with your stack against a big stack's raise.

thanks for input on both hands guys.  I did shove with AQ and he had Ks (the Ks held up).  I didn't think there was anything else I could do there, but I thought I would ask.

Hand 1: I do not call UTG raise with 25bigs. If you flop T or Q there is still a good chance you are no good. Yeah your hand might flop well (if deep), but you cant flat oop with 25bigs. With 25bb's, we are looking for +EV spots in position.

Hand 2: Our hand has too much value to fold with our current stack. The early position 3x looks a lot like a medium pair. I am smiling getting it in here knowing I have to win a race to double and even have him beat some of the time.
