I don't have exact chip counts since this hand was played live at a local casino but I'll try to recreate the scenario as best as I can remember it.  I'd like thoughts/suggestions on both the shove and the call.

6 players left (although one is a dead stack since he got kicked out of the tournament for verbally abusive behavior so really just 5 people left) The tournament pays to three places, $580 for first, $360ish for 2nd and $170ish for third. 40 dollar buyin . . .

I've got 7200 chips.  Player to my left has 18K, next guy has 7K, next guy 5K, next guy is the stack that is being blinded off and he has 6k left which is disappearing everytime the blinds hit him.  The person to my immediate right has 50K and is bullying the table as the blinds increase.  Everyone else is playing very tight.

The blinds are at 400/800 and will increase to 500/1000 next hand.

I'm UTG+1 and the big stack folds.  The ghost player is in the bb so he will not call the shove.  I have 109 off and decide to ship it. Anyway, the guy to my immediate left with 18K calls with 55 and I lose the flip.  Damn the bigdogs . . .  Anyway, just looking for thoughts on both the shove and the call.

All fine. Shoving on the blind off stack before blinds are up is perfect. 109o is a good hand to have vs calling ranges and is definitely live the majority of the time. NH
